Though it’s just outside Nimes, Bien Loin d’Ici does indeed feel good and far from everything. This tiny collection of three eco-lodges is immersed in the garrige of Provence, and is not only built from entirely local and sustainable materials but operates using solar panels, heat pumps, and other earth-friendly technologies. All of this without sacrificing comfort: not only is the design in the same league as the best boutique hotels, the experience is a luxurious one as well, with Nespresso machines, rain showers, beds right out of Sofitel’s collection, and even an acoustic guitar in case the muse should visit while you’re lounging.
