About pieuX
Best known as the celebrated chef at the helm of La Grenouillère in Montreuil-sur-Mer, Alexandre Gauthier further is the creative spirit behind pieuX, an elegant boutique hotel nearby. It’s housed in a 19th-century building that retains much of its original charm: a leafy winter garden, a quaint breakfast room that resembles a Parisian café, a wooden spiral staircase leading upstairs to the guest rooms. Some suites are attic-like, with steeply vaulted ceilings and reading nooks, and others are more traditional, with marble fireplaces and clawfoot tubs. All have been exquisitely restored and feature fine linens, vintage details, and ample natural light. Outside, the town’s fortified citadel awaits, not to mention ancient churches, cheese shops, sidewalk wine bars, and the beautiful countryside of northern France just beyond.
