About Heritage Hotel Martinis Marchi
Croatia’s coastline and islands have plenty of big, brash hotels, but the Heritage Hotel Martinis Marchi is something else entirely: less than an hour by yacht from Split, this 18th-century castle presides over the quiet harbor town of Maslinica, and is in fact the only hotel on the island of Šolta. As castles go, it’s a small one, just seven suites, all of them spacious, blending period inspiration with contemporary good looks. The restaurant showcases coastal Mediterranean cuisine at its finest, and the hotel’s leisure offerings make heavy use of its position overlooking the town’s marina.
