About Rosemary
Locals and design enthusiasts alike sat up and paid attention when the Belgian artist Laurence Leenaert, founder of the Marrakech-based lifestyle brand LRNCE, announced the opening of a five-room, adults-only guesthouse in an old mansion near the Bahia Palace. Rosemary is a jewel of a riad hotel with every detail curated by Leenaert and her Moroccan partner, including vintage pieces uncovered on her travels around the world, and many carried out by a team of local artisans, from bespoke homewares and hand-carved furnishings to stained glass windows and custom terrazzo floors. Each room is uniquely outfitted with decor from the LRNCE line; some have private balconies, and others offer views over the courtyard patio with its giant jacaranda tree. A traditional breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace, and the hotel’s charming hammam opens on request.
