Here in Mallorca’s Port de Sóller, a Seventies hotel with a Bauhaus inspiration has been brought forward into the 21st century as the ultra-stylish, adults-only Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel. In its current form it draws inspiration from California’s Sixties counterculture, which means its atmosphere is both laid-back and festive — the interior style is bohemian-chic, and the hedonistic pleasures include a pool, a spa, and in-room comforts like rain showers and, in many cases, balconies or patios with views of the mountains. Two bars are joined by Neni, an outpost of Haya Molcho’s well-known Israeli and Middle Eastern restaurant group.
