About Le Grand Hôtel des Bains
Here on the Breton coast there’s a strong British influence, and it’s visible in the Grand Hôtel des Bains; you may know it as the setting for the 1978 French film “Holiday Hotel,” though the décor, in the intervening years, has been substantially updated, and is now a tribute not to England but to New England. As promised by the hotel’s name, the Marine Spa is a major attraction; there’s also an indoor pool and a private beach. Make time for the gastronomic restaurant and for La Brasserie de la Plage, both of which showcase local Breton seafood.
