About Garrya Mu Cang Chai
Mù Cang Chải is one of northern Vietnam's most striking landscapes: terraced rice fields cultivated for over 400 years by the Hmong community, at a remove from anything resembling a tourist trail. Garrya is the only resort of its kind here, its bamboo architecture and Hmong brocade detailing deeply rooted in the surrounding culture. Rooms, suites and thatched pool villas face the terraces directly, with canopied beds, locally crafted headboards and private pools that mirror the mountain skyline. The Charcoal Grill does open-fire highland cooking after dark; the all-day restaurant Refresh faces the same view at breakfast.
