About Noa Boutique Hotel
Spain’s Mediterranean side gets most of the attention, but A Coruña, on the Atlantic coast of Galicia, has much to recommend it — including the extremely stylish Noa Boutique Hotel. Here every room — every bed, in fact — looks out to sea through floor-to-ceiling windows, and each one has an open-air terrace, for good measure. Indeed there’s something reminiscent of some of our favorite Japanese seaside resorts about the way these rooms invite quiet contemplation, through minimalist design, through the richness of the materials, and through well-chosen comforts (like a bathtub in every room). Wellness, naturally, is a priority here; the spa offers a long list of massages, therapies, and beauty treatments, and the gym is expansive enough to offer yoga, pilates, and personal training sessions. The rooftop features an infinity pool and a Jacuzzi, as well as a row of loungers overlooking Santa Cruz Castle and the harbor. A spacious indoor-outdoor restaurant serves an inventive take on Galician fare with a noticeable Asian influence, and Noa Bar spills out onto the terrace, and features a menu of tapas-style small plates. Make it a secluded resort-style escape, if you wish, or travel 15 minutes and explore the city of A Coruña.
