About Post Hotel - Tradition \u0026 Lifestyle
Set in the beautifully named South Tyrolean village of San Candido, just a few miles from the Austrian border, is Post Hotel - Tradition & Lifestyle, a 1926-vintage inn that was extensively renovated in 2014 and now stands as a fine example of Italy’s modern generation of Alpine luxury boutique hotels. It’s an adults-only hotel, which certainly aids in its efforts to provide a tranquil atmosphere, while its location offers endless opportunities for adventure, from downhill and Nordic skiing to summertime hiking and biking. Most of the rooms and suites retain just one element of the traditional lodge aesthetic, and that’s the wood flooring; otherwise, they’re decorated in a contemporary Italian luxury style, some more subtly stylish and others decked out in bold graphic murals. (The “classic” rooms contain more traditional wooden furnishings.) Some have views of the village rooftops, others, the mountain peaks. The spa and wellness center is perhaps Post Hotel’s most visually striking space; it’s connected to the outdoor Secret Garden. Meanwhile the P-Lounge is a contemporary-luxe evolution of the classic après-ski bar, and the Ristorante Post Hotel serves a sophisticated modern menu of high-end Tyrolean classics.
