About C. Baldwin\u002c Curio Collection By Hilton
C. Baldwin, Curio Collection, is named after Charlotte Baldwin Allen, also known as the “Mother of Houston,” whose inheritance helped finance the city’s development in the middle of the 19th century. The hotel’s theme is trailblazing Texan women, past and present, and everything from airy corner suites to the chic lobby bar was designed by female talent. Rooms at C. Baldwin are elegant and spacious, but with a rugged twist inspired by life on the ranch: saddle-colored leather headboards, earth-toned rugs, rocking chairs by the floor-to-ceiling windows. The 20th-floor suite, complete with a stylish office, formal dining room, and a deep soaking tub, is fit for a queen.
