About Sultan Cave Suites
Sultan Cave Suites isn’t the only cave hotel in Cappadocia, but that doesn’t limit its appeal — this form of hospitality is one of the world’s treasures, and there’s room in the region for plenty of variations on the theme. This one is built into the terraced hillside above the village of Göreme, which means that even as its 35 bedrooms burrow into the limestone, its windows and balconies take in views of the iconic Cappadocian landscape and its balloon-dotted skies. Here the accommodations feel more built than discovered, their arches and columns crafted from hefty blocks of stone. They range in size from classic double rooms to the capacious Pasha and Sultan suites, the latter finding space for a roll-top copper tub and a freestanding Jacuzzi, respectively. Seten, the restaurant, serves classic Anatolian fare in an atmospheric indoor-outdoor space; tours of the region, by land or by air, can be arranged with the help of the staff.
