About Palais Faraj Suite \u0026 Spa
Set on a hillside above and overlooking the medina, Palais Faraj is no ordinary hotel — the word “palais” here is not aspirational but frankly descriptive. Built in the 19th century, during the period when Fes was Morocco’s capital, Bensouda Palace was the hub of a network of riads belonging to a prominent local family. Now, under its new name, Palais Faraj has been transformed by its new owners into one of the city’s most luxurious lodgings. With 25 rooms and suites it’s substantially larger than a riad hotel, and though functionally up to date, the experience it offers is one of immersion in authentic Moroccan aesthetics and tradition. Meanwhile the Essencia Spa offers a classic hammam experience alongside more modern treatments, while the rooftop restaurant showcases the eclectic flavors of Fes in a garden atmosphere with a far-ranging view.
