About Eden Locke
Right on George Street in Edinburgh’s New Town is an apartment-style hotel that’s perfectly confident in its stylishness — not only is there not a square inch of tartan to be found, but its muted pastels and modernist simplicity fly in the face of expectation. All the same, it feels perfectly Scottish, and looks lovely in the low light of its high latitude. Designed by the New York–based Grzywinski+Pons, it’s won plaudits for its aesthetics, but includes substantial comforts as well, including full kitchens in all of its studio apartments, as well as Mayvn, one of the capital’s hippest cafés.
