About Château de Drudas
Set in the scenic countryside to the northwest of Toulouse, the Château de Drudas is the picture of 18th-century elegance. Formerly an aristocratic summer house, it’s now a 23-room luxury boutique hotel in a decidedly classic style, its interiors restored to their former glory and upgraded in subtle functional ways, from climate control to modern bathrooms. Views are of the gardens or the central courtyard, or, in the case of the top-end suites, both; the restaurant, Le Verdurier, is named for the vegetable specialist in the royal kitchen, and makes fine gastronomic work of the produce of the hotel’s own gardens.
