About Portom International Hokkaido
Yes, Portom International Hokkaido is attached to the international terminal at Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport, but in every other way it’s anything but a typical airport hotel. Its modern-luxe rooms and suites wouldn’t look out of place in a major city center, and there’s an extraordinary amount of authentic Japanese culture on display — every room features its own Hokusai print, and there’s an exhibition space showing arts and crafts from the Edo and Meiji periods. Also on site are a luxury spa and a pair of restaurants, one traditionally Japanese and one a modern Japanese-French hybrid.
