Nearby, Fresko Restaurant (three guesses on the wall decorations) serves classic Turkish dishes with a twist among original rock arches and an expansive terrace. Indeed, the authentic stone details — fireplaces, hewn staircases, shelving — are everywhere to be found, lending a surprisingly warm and human touch to the surroundings. No guestroom is quite the same, though they all enjoy a singularly inspiring view of the unearthly terrain. There’s a fascinating contrast between the coarse austerity of the stone and the inviting, goose down bedding, underscored by refreshing floral arrangements and candle clusters.
