Just above Calvi’s bay, L’Acquale looks out toward the citadel, the sea, and the Monte Grossu range. Renovated in 2020, the 44-room hotel is run by the Acquaviva family, whose name and history trace back to a small mountain hamlet called Acquale. Rooms are spacious and sophisticated, combining stone, raw wood, and natural fabrics, each with a private outdoor space facing the surrounding landscape. The beach, marina, and old town are close by, but many guests stay close to the terrace, drawn in by the changing light across the Balagne.
