With a prominent location in Bukit Bintang, surrounded by restaurants, shops, and nightlife, WOLO Kuala Lumpur is squarely aimed at a young and vibrant clientele. The rooms are swanky enough, even the entry-level Copper rooms, compact as they are, while the high-end suites are spacious indeed. And all throughout, the look is far from minimalist — think mid-century modern with a hint of Art Deco ornament and a modern graphic sensibility. Services are minimal, but given the richness of the hotel’s surroundings, that’s no great drawback; this is more a stylish pied-à-terre than a self-contained oasis, and its guests wouldn’t have it any other way.
