About Nhow Brussels Bloom
Right next to Le Botanique, the botanical gardens turned cultural center in the heart of Brussels, this wildly colorful boutique hotel (with cousins in Berlin, London, Milan, and more) adds a little more variety to a city with a long history of unusual boutique hotels. Nhow Brussels Bloom is a capable enough business hotel, especially if you’re in a creative field, but more to the point it’s aimed at anyone with an appreciation for visual stimulation, and especially fans of contemporary art. The guest rooms feel somewhat gallery-like, given their monochrome backgrounds, sparse decoration, and prominent artworks. And the bathrooms, styled like photographic darkrooms — and spattered with day-glo paint — take some getting used to. Many of them have impressive elevated views of the city, and the suites include a two-level Loft and a capacious, art-filled Gallery. Meanwhile, down in the cheerfully colorful lobby, there are multiple overlapping social spaces. The breakfast restaurant is augmented by the “waffle van,” which is just what it sounds like; the main restaurant serves a menu inspired by the city’s local street food scene; and amid all this color you’ll also find a surprisingly sober-looking cocktail bar.
