    About Rhinefield House

Visitors from outside the UK may not be aware that the New Forest got its name almost a thousand years ago, and is thus one of England’s best-preserved natural places. Rhinefield House is nowhere near as old — this Tudor-Gothic hybrid was constructed in the late 19th century — but its dramatic architecture and its idyllic setting combine to make it a tempting escape. With the exception of a handful of historical rooms and suites, the hotel’s bedrooms are set in a newer addition, and it’s to their credit that they don’t reproduce the main house’s style. Instead they opt for a contemporary look with a country house influence; meanwhile, their newer construction makes for more modern comforts. Dining options are suitably multifarious, from the fine-dining Armada Restaurant to more casual options. A spa and an outdoor pool provide opportunity for relaxation, while the setting encourages outdoor recreation, whether on the house’s expansive grounds or along the trails of the greater New Forest.
