About My Arbor - Dolomites
Rising up on stilts along a steeply angled stretch of pine forest in South Tyrol, My Arbor is the largest treehouse hotel in the country. The Italian architect Gerhard Tauber is behind the striking design, a boxy modernist structure elevated on steel pillars resembling tree trunks, built in part from repurposed wood from the surrounding region. Luminous rooms, lined in reclaimed larch and fir with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Dolomites and the valley below, range from quiet Nest Suites to luxurious Treetop Suites with spacious terraces and spa-like bathrooms featuring saunas and freestanding tubs. Five larger saunas await in the hotel’s lavish spa, not to mention an indoor-outdoor infinity pool, a heated open-air whirlpool, and cabana-style “cuddle nests” for cozying up in blankets by the water’s edge. Everything from early-morning cappuccino to a seven-course dinner is included, and the Plose skiing and hiking area is steps away from the front door.
