About Le Garage Biarritz
A former garage for vintage cars might not sound like a beachside escape, until you see Le Garage. Originally built in the 1930s as a private garage for the neighboring Hôtel du Régina’s high-end guests, the building was later abandoned, then briefly taken over by street artists in 2018. Today, it is a striking 27-room boutique hotel just above Marimar Beach — and, crucially, operates under the banner of the ultra-hip Experimental group. Industrial bones remain, but the vibe is bold and bright: terrazzo floors, Art Deco curves, handwoven Ghanian lights. There is a garden pool where the gas pump once stood, and a low-key, surf-friendly pulse that feels perfectly Biarritz.
