About The Hoxton\u002c Berlin
The Hoxton's first German property sits in a nondescript 1970s Charlottenburg building that surprises once you're inside. The lobby sprawls with mismatched seating, communal work tables, and oddball lighting fixtures, flowing into the Wintergarden bar where a fireplace lined with vintage German tiles anchors the space. Rooms skew small, the aptly named Shoebox barely fits a single bed, but all feature scalloped headboards, terrazzo side tables, and Art Nouveau lamps inspired by 1920s West Berlin. House of Tandoor is a welcome addition to a city short on good Indian restaurants, with tandoor ovens producing mouthwatering naans. The Teahouse serves chai cocktails and Indian pastries from breakfast onward.
