About InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar
In locations where other prestige luxury brands fear to tread, you’ll often find an InterContinental all by itself at the top of the hospitality market. That’s the case in Bandung, Indonesia’s second city, two hours’ drive to the south and east from Jakarta. Though home to millions, it’s got nothing else quite like the InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar. Like many of InterContinental’s properties it’s one part business hotel and one part luxury resort — set on the mountainous northern fringe of the city, it’s surrounded by lush greenery, and offers far-ranging views. In typical InterContinental style the rooms are large and lavish, though visually restrained — the décor is muted, almost minimalist, though full of details that pay tribute to classic Indonesian styles. There’s a resort-style infinity pool, as well as the Zen Spa, and plenty of events space — this is a popular wedding destination, on top of everything else. Damai Restaurant, the hotel’s Indonesian kitchen, serving everything from breakfast on through to dinner; it’s joined by Tian Jing Lou, the upscale Chinese restaurant, overlooking the Mountain View golf course and the Bandung skyline from its perch atop the hotel.
