About Das Mühlbach - Thermal Retreat und Wellness Resort
Unlike some of Europe’s spa towns, Bad Füssing and its Lower Bavarian neighbors are relative newcomers, whose hot springs were discovered well into the 20th century. Das Mühlbach, by contrast, first existed as a tavern in the 19th century — but the advent of the thermal waters changed its fortunes forever. Today it’s a luxury hotel and spa retreat after the classic German model, where no aspect of wellness is overlooked, whether that means a pleasant dip in a spring-fed pool or an intensive medical intervention. Here, of course, health and pleasure go hand in hand. The rooms and suites are as stylish as they are comfortable, equal parts modern and rustic, with first-rate comforts and bathrooms that verge on the spa-like. And the cuisine is proof that health and flavor need not be in opposition — options include the Bavarian Kirchawirt and the fine-dining Mühlbach Restaurant. Meanwhile the spa and wellness offerings are comprehensive, comprising a wide array of pools, saunas, and other treatment facilities.
