About La Villa de Madeleine
Built in the 1930s as the Mavria family mansion in the village of Agios Ioannis, Arcadia, this stone villa carries its past visibly. The ground floor vaulted cellar, once used to press grapes and store wine, and the original stable still form part of the property. In 2018 the Benopoulos family bought and restored it, naming it after their daughter Magdalene. Two master bedrooms with private bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, Finnish sauna, private heated jacuzzi, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces make it a complete retreat. Every booking includes a free meal at the local village tavern.
