About Maison Chiberta
A few minutes up the Basque Coast from Biarritz, Maison Chiberta is enviably positioned among Anglet’s resorts — surrounded by forests, just inland from the beaches, and right alongside the Chiberta golf club. It’s long been one of the best-known local stays, but it’s looking fresher than ever thanks to its new association with the Annie Famose hotel group. Today’s Maison Chiberta has been extensively renovated, but it retains its classic Basque Country character even as its details are brought up to 21st-century spec. The 58 rooms and suites combine contemporary clean lines with artisan-made crafts; some overlook the surrounding pine forest, others the golf course. At the hotel’s heart is an Andalusian-style courtyard; other attractions include a well-equipped spa in partnership with the Swedish brand L.A. Bruket and a restaurant that marries Basque and South American traditions.
