About Tenute Baglio Passofondo
A 19th-century house on a noble estate in northwestern Sicily is the setting for what’s now a perfect little slice of boutique hospitality: Tenute Baglio Passofondo. It’s a working agricultural estate, growing olives and multiple varieties of grapes, including Sicily’s native Alcamo Bianco. And within the house are ten suites, each one a handsome blend of antique farmhouse architecture and high-end contemporary Italian design. Luxe details like eye-catching gas fireplaces are universal; some units come with Jacuzzi tubs, while all feature modern spa-like bathrooms. A wellness area features baths and a treatment room, and Sicilian cooking features prominently in the Baglio Passofondo experience — from cooking classes to gourmet dinners and tastings of local wines.
