Long-table farm dinner

Outstanding in the Field’s Orcas Farm event is a communal outdoor farm-to-table dinner on Orcas Island. The format is a multi-course meal served at a single long table set directly on the farm grounds, placing the farm itself at the center of the dinner rather than treating it as a backdrop.

Chef and beverage producer

Nicole Fuenzalida of Tenth House is the guest chef for the dinner. Mountain Valley Spring Water is the named guest beverage producer, giving the program one identified culinary lead and one identified beverage partner.

Host farmers and farm setting

George Orser and Molly Donovan are the host farmers at Orcas Farm. The farm is described as a place where food and flowers grow together, with that approach connected to soil health, biodiversity, and nourishment for the local community.

Travel, transfers, and meal requests

Guests are responsible for arranging ferry travel to and from the event, so transportation planning is part of attending. The meal is family style, and vegetarian requests are the only dietary accommodation the organizer says it can guarantee; that request can be entered during checkout.

If a participant cannot attend, no refunds or credits are given. Tickets can be transferred to someone else, with the new guest’s information sent at least 24 hours before the event, or by having the guests using the reservation give the original reservation name at arrival.
