Poggio di Sotto 1995 Library Dinner
A 12-guest Poggio di Sotto library tasting and five-course dinner at 67 Pall Mall, led by winemaker Leonardo Berti.

A London dinner from 67 Pall Mall hosted by Château Margaux directors Alexis Leven Mentzelopoulos, Philippe Bascaules and Blandine De Rouffignac.
This 67 Pall Mall dinner is built around Château Margaux, the first growth in its namesake commune. The estate is presented through its Cabernet Sauvignon-led profile, its recent move toward organic viticulture, and the Sir Norman Foster-designed cellar inaugurated in 2015. The event takes place in London, with the welcome reception, dinner start, and end time handled by the event details rather than repeated here.
The wine lineup moves from 2017 Pavillon Blanc de Château Margaux, Bordeaux, to 2019 Pavillon Rouge de Château Margaux, Margaux, then three Château Margaux Premier Grand Cru Classé releases from Margaux: 2009, 1999 and 1989. The dinner frames the three grands vins as coming from acclaimed “9” years, ending with the widely lauded 1989 vintage.
The listed menu includes langoustine tartare with oyster emulsion, braised wild mushrooms on toasted brioche with egg yolk and truffle butter, and Loomswood farm duck breast with spiced carrot, braised celery and cherry reduction. A further listed course is Tomme de chèvre with toasted buckwheat and preserved currants.
The hosting team brings together three Château Margaux directors: co-owner and CEO Alexis Leven Mentzelopoulos, managing director and chief winemaker Philippe Bascaules, and R&D director Blandine De Rouffignac. Together they will guide members through recent developments at the property, the Médoc and Bordeaux more broadly while presenting the wines.
