Bar Camillo, Hong Kong, is a cocktail bar inspired by the Italian salotto, the living room as a centre of social life. Its identity is built around cocktails, informal hospitality, and a less formal approach to the traditional hotel bar.

Drinks and rituals

Conceived by Lorenzo Antinori and a bar team for the bar, the bar has a seasonally evolving cocktail programme. The drinks range from aperitivi and interpretations of established classics to more playful house creations. One named ritual is the Negroni Sospeso, described as a charitable tradition connected with generosity, connection, and sharing a drink. Camillo, the bar’s playful mascot and host, is part of the identity around these rituals.

Antinori’s stated direction for the bar is to reduce the formality associated with a traditional hotel bar while keeping complex drinks in a setting that is lively and convivial.

Interior and seating

The setting uses contemporary mid-century interiors, lively communal seating, and more intimate corners. Seating is described as moving from a long, sociable banquette beside the bar to more secluded areas. An outdoor terrace is also part of the space and is described as offering views across the city. The overall layout brings together open seating, more measured corners, and terrace space in Hong Kong.
