About The Roundtree\u002c Amagansett
There’s more to the Hamptons travel experience than just the glamorous seaside resorts — the Roundtree, Amagansett shows off the pastoral side of island life. It’s set on two acres of land in the town of Amagansett, a mile inland from the beach, and comprises a barn and a collection of cottages dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. From the exterior, they’re beautifully preserved, proud of their history — inside, however, you’re treated to a visually minimalist contemporary-luxe experience, complete with Frette linens, Matouk towels, and Nespresso coffee machines. The aim is to make you feel like you’re in your own vacation home, minus the management headaches. A substantial continental breakfast is served in the old barn, and the afternoon tea service is worth making time for. There’s a fleet of stylish cruiser bikes for the short ride to the beach, and the leisure offerings include low-key diversions like in-room massages or guided hikes. For dinner, you’re within walking distance of some very fine options right here in Amagansett, and you’re just a few minutes’ drive from East Hampton, should the urge for some faster-paced nightlife strike you — though the lawn-and-campfire scene at the Roundtree is perfectly satisfying on its own. Smaller hotels like The Roundtree fill up quickly. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, contact us and we can help.
