    About Como Metropolitan Singapore

The Singapore-based COMO Hotels and Resorts has been a global force in luxury hospitality since its first hotel, London’s Halkin, opened in 1991. But it would be more than three decades before the COMO name would hang above the door of a Singaporean hotel. With the COMO Orchard development, however, they’re making up for lost time — this 19-story tower gathers all of the COMO brands under one roof, from fashion retail to wellness to dining and, of course, luxury hospitality, in the form of COMO Metropolitan Singapore. 11 floors are given over to the hotel’s 156 rooms and suites, all of which are clean-lined and contemporary, furnished with high-end Italian furniture by Giorgetti. The designers are an international dream team: architect Paola Navone and interior designers Koichiro Ikebuchi and Preeti Sriratana. Their work, both in the accommodations and in the public spaces, lends the Metropolitan a cosmopolitan stylishness that places it among Singapore’s most attractive hotels. It helps, of course, that it’s also the site of a COMO Shambhala spa, whose wellness offerings are first-rate. Two floors are reserved for Club 21, the fashion retailer whose selection includes a who’s-who of women’s wear and menswear brands. And among the restaurants on site is COTE Singapore, an outpost of Simon Kim’s Korean steakhouse, whose New York and Miami locations have been recognized with Michelin stars.
