Raffles Hotels & Resorts is renowned for its legendary service, embodied by impeccable butlers, and its commitment to being custodians of culture, celebrating fine art and design. The brand offers sophisticated gastronomy and promotes wellbeing, creating places where ideas are born and stories are made. It is also famously known as the birthplace of the Singapore Sling.
Raffles Hotels & Resorts was originally founded by the Sarkies Brothers. After financial difficulties and subsequent ownership by Raffles Hotel Ltd. and Colony Capital LLC, the brand was eventually acquired by Accor in 2016 as part of its acquisition of FRHI Hotels & Resorts. The original Raffles Hotel Singapore property itself has been owned by Katara Hospitality, a Qatari sovereign wealth fund, since 2010.
