This 67 Pall Mall day trip focuses on Domaine Evremond, Taittinger’s English sparkling wine estate in Kent. The estate is presented as a closer-to-home stop in the organiser’s run of private wine-estate trips, with Patrick McGrath MW welcoming members and introducing the story and vision behind the project.
Edition I, Edition II and the underground cellars
The afternoon starts among the vines with a guided tasting of Domaine Evremond’s Edition I and Edition II, served with freshly shucked oysters. The visit then moves 25 metres below ground to the cellars, described as closed to the public and the UK’s largest subterranean winery, with more than 1.5 million bottles on site.

Later, the programme continues with a canapé reception on the terrace overlooking the vineyard, accompanied by live music, before a six-course chef’s table prepared on site by Executive Chef Dan Page. Each course is paired with wines from the Hatch Mansfield portfolio, with Patrick McGrath MW guiding members through the selection.
One listed pairing combines heritage tomato, Arctic char, tomato dashi and basil with 2020 Chardonnay from Viña Errázuriz ‘Las Pizarras’ in Chile’s Aconcagua Valley.
