About H10 Casa de la Plata
Right in the heart of Seville’s pedestrianized city center is the H10 Casa de la Plata, a boutique hotel from the Barcelona-based H10 group which offers what might be the best of both worlds: the modern functioning of a newly built hotel along with an aesthetic that complements, rather than imitate, the city’s distinctive architectural setting. This means plenty of nods to Andalusian residential architecture, including a central courtyard and a tiled pool. It also means liberal use of the region’s distinctive shades of yellow and blue. And on the modern side, it means up-to-date electronics and bathrooms and artworks that re-interpret Sevillian historical figures in a playfully postmodern style. The rooms facing the interior atrium are naturally a touch quieter, though road noise in the street-facing units is kept to a minimum by virtue of the neighborhood’s restrictions on vehicle traffic. Breakfast is served in Magallanes, the restaurant, which opens onto the courtyard. Beyond breakfast your choices are the lobby bar and the rooftop bar, both of which serve light fare or tapas along with cocktails and other drinks; for a more substantial dinner you’ll venture out into the neighborhood, which is rich with options of its own.
