About Meliá Vinpearl Phu Quoc
Spain’s Meliá hotels have gone global in a big way, and their overseas outposts are quite often among their most luxurious. That’s certainly the case in Vietnam, where Meliá Vinpearl Phu Quoc occupies a prime parcel of beachfront on the Gulf of Thailand. Here more than 500 villas form a substantial neighborhood — or even a small town — surrounding a central lagoon. And its situation within the larger Vinpearl complex of resorts means it’s got access to activities and amenities even beyond its own substantial offerings. Not that much is left out here. The villas are thoroughly luxurious, ranging from one to four bedrooms, all of them with private pools and all of them decorated in a handsome contemporary-colonial style. At this scale facilities like a spa, a yoga center, and a well-equipped kids’ program are present as a matter of course, and activity offerings include just about anything that a person can do on or near the sea. Meanwhile the restaurants range from Vietnamese to Italian offerings, and many more lie further south along the length of the greater Vinpearl resort area.
