About The Vendue
The Vendue bills itself as “Charleston’s art hotel,” and while in lesser hands that might not mean much, this is the real deal. Not only is it full of serious pieces of contemporary art, but the hotel itself is something of an artwork: a row of 18th-century warehouse buildings, combined together and decorated in a vibrant historical-meets-modern style. Every room is different, providing visual interest to match the tactile comforts, and nor is the social life neglected — Revival takes seasonal, heirloom ingredients to modern places, and the self-explanatory Rooftop is one of Charleston’s best-loved bars.
