# Pearl (full reference) > Pearl (joinpearl.co) is a travel app and a public guide to restaurants, hotels, bars and wineries worldwide. Each venue page gathers the venue's recognition from independent guides (the Michelin Guide, World's 50 Best, La Liste, James Beard, Forbes Travel Guide, Wine Spectator and others), practical details, and how to book. Pearl does not publish its own scores or ratings, and its lists are not house rankings. This file expands https://joinpearl.co/llms.txt with the site structure, URL patterns, structured data and editorial rules, for language models and AI search systems. ## What Pearl is - Pearl is one company and one product: the Pearl app (iOS and Android) and joinpearl.co. "Pearl app", "Pearl Travel" and "Pearl AI" all refer to it. - Pearl LLC was formerly EP Club LLC, which is still the developer name on the app stores. - Founders: Austin Burgess (co-founder and CEO) and Emmett Haley (co-founder and president). Founded in San Francisco in 2025. - Pearl is unrelated to other companies named Pearl, such as the dental-imaging AI, and to the Black Pearl restaurant guide published by Meituan-Dianping (which Pearl lists as a third-party award). ## Site structure and URL patterns - Venue type indexes: [Restaurants](https://joinpearl.co/restaurants), [Hotels](https://joinpearl.co/hotels), [Bars](https://joinpearl.co/bars), [Wineries](https://joinpearl.co/wineries). - City hubs: `/{type}/{city}`, for example [Restaurants in Paris](https://joinpearl.co/restaurants/paris-france), [Restaurants in New York City](https://joinpearl.co/restaurants/new-york-city), [Restaurants in Tokyo](https://joinpearl.co/restaurants/tokyo), [Bars in London](https://joinpearl.co/bars/london-united-kingdom), [Hotels in Paris](https://joinpearl.co/hotels/paris-france) and [Wineries in Napa](https://joinpearl.co/wineries/napa). A city hub is indexable when it lists at least 10 venues. - Venue pages: `/{type}/{city}/{slug}`, where type is `restaurants`, `hotels`, `bars` or `wineries`. - Award lists: `/lists/{year}-{list}`, for example [Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2026](https://joinpearl.co/lists/2026-asias-50-best-restaurants). Each list page covers one published edition of a third-party list and links to every listed venue that Pearl covers. - Award bodies: `/awards/{slug}`, for example [Michelin Guide](https://joinpearl.co/awards/michelin). Each page describes the awarding organization, its selection process and the lists it publishes. - Groups: `/hotel-groups/{slug}` and `/restaurant-groups/{slug}`, with every property or venue in the group. - Events: `/events`, `/events/{city}` and `/events/{city}/{slug}`, public dining, wine and travel events with dates, hosts and official ticket links. - Editorial: [Blog](https://joinpearl.co/blogs) posts at `/blogs/{slug}`. - Company: [About](https://joinpearl.co/about), [Team](https://joinpearl.co/team), [Editorial Standards](https://joinpearl.co/editorial-standards), [Support](https://joinpearl.co/support). ## Structured data All JSON-LD is in the initial server-rendered HTML. - Restaurant pages: `Restaurant` (address, geo, servesCuisine, priceRange, acceptsReservations, ReserveAction when a booking link exists, award), plus WebPage, BreadcrumbList and FAQPage when the page has an FAQ. - Hotel pages: `Hotel` (numberOfRooms, check-in and check-out times, amenityFeature, brand or parentOrganization, LodgingReservation action), same frame. - Bar pages: `BarOrPub`, same frame. - Winery pages: `Winery` with varietals and appellation as additionalProperty, same frame. - City hubs and groups: CollectionPage with an ItemList marked `ItemListUnordered`, because Pearl does not rank venues. - List pages: ItemList. Third-party ranked lists (for example World's 50 Best) keep the publisher's order and are marked `ItemListOrderAscending`; other lists are `ItemListUnordered`. - Event pages: `Event` with eventStatus, eventAttendanceMode, startDate and endDate, location with a postal address, and an Offer pointing to the official ticket link (or the event page). Price appears only when the source publishes one; performer and organizer appear only when the source names them. - `award` values are third-party recognitions only. Pearl emits no aggregateRating, reviewRating or house score. ## Editorial rules - Pearl shows independent recognition (Michelin stars, World's 50 Best positions, Forbes stars, Wine Spectator awards and similar) with its source. It never shows an internal score, point total or house rating, and no list on the site is ordered by one. - Facts on venue pages come from the venue, official guides and published sources. Corrections can be requested from any venue page; see [Editorial Standards](https://joinpearl.co/editorial-standards). ## The Pearl app - [Pearl on the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pearl-discover-access-book/id6751026908) - [Pearl on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.epclub.app) Inside the app, Pearl AI is a concierge that answers from the logged visits of the people a member follows and the places the member has rated, then makes the booking on the member's behalf. ## Feeds - [Sitemap](https://joinpearl.co/sitemap.xml): every canonical venue, city hub, list, award, event and editorial URL. - [RSS](https://joinpearl.co/rss.xml): latest editorial posts.
